Hi
Can you set the target hr yourself and also is the watch able to show your heart rate in terms of % of max (e.g. if I wanted to workout at between 60-75% of my max, could I set that as a zone and/or would the watch display what % I was working out at currently)?
Thanks in advance
Martin
Hi Martin
yes you can apply your age-based heart rate target zone limits. if you want to know the percentage you would need the f4 as this only shows bpm.

I purchased this watch through my health club and when the stop watch was on, if you pressed the light button, the stop watch stopped! Please can you advise me whether this was correct and if not how it works without the syop watch going off. Also, I could not see how to activate the heart monitor.
Thanks
Hi Richard,
When you would like to put the backlight on whilst the stop watch is running, try pulling your arm closer to your transmitter belt and it should automatically switch it on.
Is the transmission chest belt included in Polar Fs3C price?
Yes all polar watches come with a chest strap.

Are there any watches that dont require the transmitter belt to pick up heart rates. each time i wear my belt it leaves me with a rash on my side where the belt is fastened
Hi Chris,
The Mio watches have two sensors on the face of the watch, and when you place a finger and thumb on these it picks up your pulse rate. So this could be an option. Also, Polar are due to lauch a new watch that measures activity through your pulse readings, therefore no chest strap is required. It is the first one of this kind that Polar have launched, and we will be lucky enough to able to sell it. (They are only allowing certain distributers the rights to sell this model) If I remember correctly is is going to be called an AW200. If you would like further information don't hesitate to get in contact.

Does the chest strap fit all? I am buying this for a female 34" Chest
Hi Stuart,
These come with a standard strap which is size M-XXL. I'm sure this would fit her, as it starts off quite small and has lots of stretch in it. If she does have any problems with the size, we can buy in small straps as optional extras.

Does the monitor have the facility to show your splits?
Roy
Hi Roy
unfortunately this does not. If you wanted a watch that can do this you need to be looking at the are the running watches which are the polar s range or the cycle watches s7 or the cs range.

You advised Jenny that the Polar Fs3c heart rate monitor is not waterproof, yet other monitor sellers specifications say it is water resistant to 50m. Who is right?
Hi Peter
Apologies on the incorrect answer before.
Yes these are water proof up to 50m.

I am with the weightlossresource and need to see the calories I use all through the day.
Thanks Eileen
Hi Eileen.
The F4 is the cheapest option with calorie counter.

Hi, it states that monitors 'target zones' can you please idenitfy how many target zones it covers? I'm looking for a watch that covers 5, if this watch doesn't cover 5 target zones do you have a watch you could recommend?
Kind Regards, Jenn
Hi Jenn
FS3C only gives you alarm when you drop below min or max HR.
You need to look at F4 and above for 5 target zones.
