I was going to buy the T31 coded transmiter for use at my local gym that uses technogym equipment. I was reading thorugh your list of questions which said basically it should. The concern is that also your answers say that polar can change the batteries on this model. I have an email from them saying that this is not true and i need to purchase a new belt. Who is correct and is the coded belt better to use in the gym?

Hi Brian The coded is the best to wear at the gym as you will not pick up any interferance with any other equipment. Batteries are usually sorted out from polar themselve. try emailing olutoyin.fatile@polar.fi and duble check. if they say a new one is needed you will need to puchase another belt. yours in health sam

What's the difference between a Coded and Non-Coded Polar T31 transmitter? I am using Total Fitness & Technogym equipment in a local gym and am looking for a compatible chest strap.

Hi Simon, The Non-Coded transmitter is for use only with the FS1. You will need the coded transmitter in order to not get any crosstalk from other HRM's.

When batteries have to be changed can this be done by me or does it have to go back to Polar? If so how much does that cost? Also will the transmitter work with Precor equipment?

Hi Mark, When you need battery replacements it will need to go to Polar, but it is a free service. I have sold these transmitters to work with Reebok equipment so I assume you could use it with Precor. Sarah Hensby PhD Fitness

Hi Generally coded transmitters are compatable with most gym equipment. i have spoken to polar and they do not no 100% if they work with technogym. Aslong as you have a coaded transmitter there should not be a problem.sc
