All the flavours are suitable for vegetarians, yes!
Dave
I do twenty minutes of my eliptical trainer a night due to work commitments will takin this supplement after i train be ok as itll be after 8pm at night and will it help my weight loss?
Hi Dave
The phd diet whey is a good product to take as post exercise or in between a meal to prevent snacking.
A good fat burner to consider is the grenade thermo detomator or the phd lean degree which will stimulate fat burning

Dave

I know this is a meal replacement product, and I was wondering which meal if it best to replace, breakfast, lunch or dinner? also if it to be drank every day or just training days??
Dear Jack,
All though this is a meal replacement, i would suggest taking it in between meals instead of over taking a main meal. I would consume on both non training and training days.
Kind regards
Dave
Hello, i bought this product last week and im getting stomach pains, i dnt know if its off this or not? Im having one for breakfast
Fruit at 10 am
Another shake for lunch
Alpine bar at 3 pm then a healty tea
Is that correct or should i be doing it different? Cheers daniel
Hi Daniel
Your stomach pains could be because you are not eating a sufficient amount of food.
diet whey is a supplement not a meal replacement.
have some breakfast poridge is always good as its a slow release of energy wil set you up for the day, have some lunch low carb will be good such as chicken salad.
You diet whey should be used in between a meal to avoid snacking.
To optimise fat loss you should undertake a calorie controlled diet with a good exercise plan
Regards
Mikael phd
Hi, if I normally go for a run at around 9pm, then is it too late to take this product after the run? (As it's not good to have a meal too late in the evening...) Thanks
Dear Eva,
It is fine to use this after training and you should also use a fast acting carb after training to help return gylcogen levels back to normal. Eating late in the evening is bad, is just a myth. It is important to eat even in an evening just make sure your eating the right things. (High protein, moderate fats, low carbs). The diet whey would be perfect for a meal replacement in the evening.
Kind Regards
Dave
Hi I just got married and me and my wife are planing to have baby. will it be ok to take whey protein diet?

Hi Everyone
i have just purchased some diet whey and have got just a few questions about how to take it.
i go to the gym 3 times a week, on 2 of the days i do treadmill, bike & rowing machine and on the last day i do more weights and a bit of treadmill.
do i need to take the powder before going to the gymn to boost the metabolism or is it just as good after the gymn?
also is it ok to only take the powder on the gymn days and not take it on rest days?
Thanks for the help
Rich
Dear Rich,
I would take the powder twice daily on training days. Once 1 hour before workout and the other straight after. On non training days take one serving in between your meals.
Kind Regards
Dave
I am trying to shed weight but not exercising yet as i am too big. will this product still work for me. ?
Dear Sandra,
It wont work if you arent doing exercises with it, it would just be adding more kcals in your diet
Kind Regards
Dave
Can you mix this with hot water, to make like a hot chocolate?
Hi Emma
I recommend you only use cold water to make a shake
the taste wouldn't be great as a hot chocolate
Regards,
Mikael Phd

I have read somewhere on your site that this can be combined with another product for maximum results. I can't find the article again but wondered if it was lean degree or CLA capsules?
Hi Helen
Using both CLA and Lean Degree with diet whey would be an excellent fat burning stack, it is one that i would personally reccomend
Regards Rich Dunn
Can you take phd diet whey pre & post workout?
Dear Rickey,
Yes you could use the pre and post as it is a blended protein which is fast and slow releasing. It would be best suited for you 60 mins before the gym and straight after. You could maybe consider taking a standard whey or recovery drink straight after for a better stack.
Dave
Hi when will this be in stock? Also is this as good as Promax diet shakes??
Hi Jack
This is back in stock now. I think its a better product then the promax diet.
Hi is it okay to mix this with milk? or does it need to be mixed with water to be effective?
Hi Sara
You can mix it with milk but you will get better results mixing it with water.
Hey, i really like the sound of this product but it doesnt give alot of information about it. is this the best product for me if i want to lose weight and tone up without bulking?

I am wanting to lose around 2 stone and wantto try the diet whey as a meal replacement breakfast and lunch then have a balanced meal for dinner i have an extremely physical outdoor job and dont have too much spare time to train (but do so as often as possible)will this product help me lose the desired weight? and will it keep my hunger at bay?
cheers
geoff
Dear Geoff,
Unfortunatly this product will not make you lose weight. It would be a tool in helping you to lose weight. This product is ideal for using in between meals, not as a meal replacement. I would keep your breakfast, lucnch and dinner as main meals and then use the diet whey inbetween these meals. The diet whey will help keep hunger at bay also.
Kind Regards
Dave
I'm looking at buying phd diet whey but not sure when to take it. I'm doing bmf circuits 3 times a week and running 2-3times a week, I'm using maximuscle viper before, during energy drink and after for recovery. When would I use phd diet whey. Thanks
Hi steve
Substitue your viper with the phd diet whey for post exercise recovery
the diet whey will also aid muscle repair due to its high protein content
Regards
Mikael phd
Hi ive got a separate tub of CLA and im wondering with there being CLA in the phd diet whey can i take the capsule of CLA and have the shake with the CLA in it aswell? cheers
Hi Finnian
Yes it will be fine to use both products together
Regards
Mikael Phd
In your opinion, how does this compare with maximuscles promax diet? many thanks. keith
Hi Keith
They are both really good but the phd is much better value and has less carbs.
Hi. If you only do training say 3 times a week is it best to just take after training or can it be used as everyday diet milkshake?
Hi Stephen
I would recommend taking 2 servings per day.
Does the diet protein contain wheat and gluten???
Hi Isobel
Yes it does contain gluten.
I like how you put the list price ~£3.00 lower than everywhere else but then charge £4.00 for shipping.
Hi Bob
It great for when you buy 2 or more items. Its a £3-£4 saving on every item because you only pay one shipping charge.
I fancy changing from promax diet to phd diet whey to aid my weight loss. could you tell me when the chocolate will be back in stock? thanks
Hi Kim
It will be on first thing in morning. Sorry for the wait.
Hi can i use this product post strength training to recover and muscle bulid thanks
Hi Kylie
Yes this will help with recovery and help build lean muscle.
It says to use Diet whey 3 times a day, when is the best times to have it.
Hi Colin
I would go for morning, dinner and after training.
Is the 1kg bag the 20 servings size. Says on the bag but can't make it out in the pic. Thankyou
Dear Amanda,
Yes this is the 20 servings bag.
Dave
Hi, Is this best taken before or after going to the gym? and does it work most effectively with weight training or cardiovascular exercise?
Thanks
Dear Tom,
This works best taken 60 mins before training and straight after a training. It can work with both types of training allthough i would advise on taking it with weight training.
Kind Regards
Dave

Taking the diet whey will help the muscle to recover and grow, whilst attempting to offer some fat burning ingredients at the same time, yes. Unfortunately we cannot specify where the fat will come off.
Dave

Would it be over kill using this as well as PHD Whey Protein? I use te whey before and after workouts but if i then had this as a meal replacement I'd overloading on protein surely? Would it be good to rotate its use with the whey to gain maximum results from both?
Cheers,
Patrick
hi patrick. you can use both by all means. i have 4 or 5 shakes per day so it will do you no harm. Best regards
Hi, I just wanted to know, roughly how many minutes/hours should I take this before bed? if I do decide to take this shake late at night or as a last thing before bed. Thank you!
Dear Robert,
You can take this about 30-60 mins before bed.
Dave
Hi, Do the amount of grammes of shake per serving differ for men/women?
No you would follow the directions as usual and use as and when required. Thank you.
Can PHD nutrition diet whey be used as a post workout supplement? And if taken early evening should i avoid eating an evening meal?
Dear Ross,
Yes you could use it as a post workout shake, however you would be more advised to use something faster acting like the PhD Pharma Whey HT+. I would look at having a shake after training and then a solid meal about 40 mins before bed (if you train later on)
Dave
Hi, Ive just purchased this for the first time and am wondering when is the best time to use and what is the best quantity to use per serving. I'm on a low fat diet and trying to shed fat. I work out in the morning before work (and before breakfast)and in the evening after work (before eating evening meal)doing a mixture of cardio classes and toning classes and weights. Can you help?
Dear Lindsay,
The best time to use your diet whey would be first thing in a morning (1 hour before gym) and straight after training. I would use the recommended serving size per serving as this will be suffice. If you need to top up protein again later on in the day it will be fine to use inbetween regular meals
Kind Regards
Dave

I HAVE A DIET SHAKE IN THE MONING WITH SOME FRUIT THEN MY LUNCH THEN HAVE ANOTHER DIET SHAKE AFTER MY WORKOUT . WHY AM I PUTTING WEIGHT ON?
Dear Anne,
This will probably be down to your diet or cardio regime been below par. The diet whey will not make you lose bodyfat, it will aid your body to burn fat when used with a good diet and cardio regime.
Dave
Is there an age limit to use it?
My son is 12 years of age, but 10 stone already, and swimming in swimming squad 5 times weekly. Can he use this protein instead of the regular whey protein?
Dear Jtp,
There is no age limit, and it is fine to use protein at his age. Try and get him to consume 1g of protein per lbs of bodyweight.
Kind Regards
Dave

How long does this product take to start making a difference on average? Also, are there any side effects/dangers?
Dear Tom,
There are no side effects from the products, I cannot give you an estimated time for it to make a difference. Everyone is different and responds quicker/slower to differnt products

Is there a delivery charge to b44 9up. if so what is it
Hi delivery is a standard charge of £3.99. Thank you
Hi i am trying to cut down to about 8% body fat, i am currently on 10%, would this help me to reach my goals quicker? also is it better to take this after a weight training session?
Dear Ehson,
This would help you with your goals, however the main importance is diet and cardio when reaching low bodyfat levels. I would use it post workout and one other time through out the day.
Kind regards
Dave
Just to be clear, should I be drinking a shake instead of a meal or in addition to my three meals a day?
Dear alex,
You need to be having a shake 2 times a day around your normal meals.
Kind Regards
Dave
Hi there, I do a lot of running and tend to take a shake before I go, instead of eating breakfast as I feel too full and tend to run very first thing in the morning, then do some weights/resistance work in the gym. I then have breakfast when I get to work. Is this correct or should I wait until after I'm finished my workout to have a shake? I'm really confused.
Dear Laura,
The way your taking the product and having your breakfast is fine. A lot of runners use it for a light meal 45 mins before running, then have a good nutritional breakfast straight after training. Keep sticking to what your doing laura.
Kind Regards
Dave
Can I use this as a full meal replacement for breakfast and lunch?
I am planning on swimming most mornigns before work. Should I have this before the swim?
If I train after work, should I have another there?
I think therefore I should have 3 servings a day? 1 for breakfast, one for lunch, and one before I train in evening (if I do go to the gym that day?)
Would it be OK to have extra fruit thoughout the day too?
I am planning on having a normal (but low fat/cal)diet in the evening.
Dear Danny,
I wouldnt recommend that you replace a meal with this product. Supplements are designed to supplement your diet, so you want to be taking them around your solid meals. I would suggest using diet whey post swimming (to lose more weight i would swim on an empty stomach), then i would have one serving post workout. The rest of your meals should be solid foods that provide nutritional values that protein powders cant.
Kind Regards
Dave
How many servings will i get from the bag?
Dear Freddie,
On average you get 20 servings from the bag.
Kind Regards
Dave

Hi,
I've noted that you recommend using this product post and in between workouts and not as a meal replacement but on a calorie controlled diet, do you feel this product provides enough nutrients for a lunch replacement, or would you advise to start using when the calorie allowances go up ?
Hi Michael
I recommend you don’t use it as a meal replacement as it hasn't got the required nutrients.
I would advise to use in conjunction with food a healthy salad would be sufficient
regards,
Mikael

Hello there!
I am 29 years old, 1,78cm, 72kgs and trying to loose around 10-12kgs. I have always been going to the gym regularly, now I usually go 5-7 days/1-1.30h between 6 and 8. I just bought the Diet Whey to improve and faster my results but I have a couple of questions:
1. How many scoops should I consume during the gym days and the non-gym days?
2. I like having oats with muesli in the morning. When would it be better to take it? A trainer in my gym suggested before and after workout. What would you say?
3. If I take it after workout at around 8 should I still have dinner?and what should that be?
4. I have some sleeping problems, do you think that the product might effect that?
I would appreciate if you could answer my queries in full.
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Stefania
Hello Stefania,
It looks like you have some indepth questions here so if you like please drop me a e-mail at chris.brodie@phd-fitness.co.uk I will do my best to advise.

Hi I 19 years old and i weigh 20stones and 6ft 5". i carry my weight pretty well but i want to lose about 3 to 4 stone and tone up. i go to the gym about 4/5 times a week! would this product be suitable for me to use??
Hi Ciaran
Diet whey will be perfect to use post exercise and inbetween a meal to avoid snacking
regards phd
I have got to watch what i eat because i am diabetic, so the sugar in this would be fine for me. will it help bulk my muscle up and not make me lose weight
Hi Ian
diet whey has a very low sugar content
Hi, I gym 5 days a week doing a mix of Cardio, muscle endurance exercises and 1 boxing session. I struggle to get protein into my diet with being vegetarian and struggle with meal making due to lack time! I’m finding that my muscle are not repairing and suffer from DOMs a lot – would you recommend using this product as a way of getting protein into my diet without gaining weight?
Hello Fabi,
Indeed this would be a good option as a high protein meal replacement or try the PhD Pharma Whey as this would also be ideal.
Best regards
Hi is there any chance of trying a sample of belgian choclate/vanilla phd diet whey, thanks chris
Dear Chris,
Unfortunately we dont have any samples to send out. There may be some try buys on the website, if you type try buy into the search.
Dave
I am currently training for a half marathon and am overweight. I run a minimum of 3 times a week but do no weights and was wondering if this product would be suitable for me and what would be the best way to use it
Dear Mark,
I would use as a meal replacement for mid morning snack and post run.
Dave
How many servings per packet? plus i am currently using PhD Synergy plus USN Xedra t-cut fat burners. Would ti=his do the combined job of the 2 products i am using in one go ? or is this simply a lower calorie protein ?
Dear Liam,
This is a lower kcal protein powder with added fat burning ingredients in there, however you would benefit from using xedra cut alongside the diet whey. You get 20 servings with the 1kg pouch or 40 servings with the 2kg tub.
Dave
Is it best to take before or after cardio as im trying to lose fat ?
Dear Dave,
This would be best taken after cardio.
Dave
I have just purchased the product and would like to ask as well as gym seshions will it work when i do my 7 mile walk days or just for a hard gym workout as im after weightloss not muscle gain,
Dear Anthony,
It would stil help on non training days too. take 2 servings on training days and 1 serving non training days.
Dave
What is the kind of food, including fruit that I should avoid?
How long should I wait to eat after taking the drink?
Appreciate your help.
Thank you
Dear Carmen,
Avoiud sugary fruits like strawberrys and grapes. You want to take one in between meals so your body is thinking your eating every 2.5 hours, so wait 2.5 hours have a shake then wait 2.5 hours have a meal.
Dave
Hi, I train 3-4 times a week and ive lost weight since coming back from a broken leg injury and im down to a decent weight. Im looking for something to build muscle (not crazy) but still want to lose some excess fat thats around the stomach arae. Would this product help in losing this excess fat and help to define the muscle aswell? As im new to taking supplements, i want to get it right first time with cost effectiveness. thank you
Dear Johnathon,
This could aid your goals, however i would suggest the synergy and lean degree stack also by PhD. This will bring a combination of lean muscle growth from the synergy and fat loss from the lean degree fat burner. Diet whey would be more aimed at just fat loss and weight control. Use synergy with a healthy balanced diet and training regime for best effects.
Dave
Hi I want to lose about 7lb i currently spin 2 to 3 times per week and have started to watch what i eat, would this product benefit me and why would it be better than general healthy snacks?
Dear Jill,
Yes this product would benefit you over eating a general healthy snack for many reasons:
- It is a protein product that will help to keep you fuller for longer
- It has fat burning properties such as CLA and Flaxseed Oil in it
- It will be lower in kcals than a general healthy snack
- It will provided the body with repair and recovery of the muscle after spinning.
Dave
Would the nutritional values change if I use a different amount of water to mix, I.e. using 500 mls of water mixed with one scoop as opposed to using the recommend amount?
Dear Dave,
No the nutritional values would always be the same unless you used milk.
Dave
Hello,
I workout 6 days a week and take PhD Nutrition Diet Whey after each workout. As I am currently trying for a baby, is it safe to keep drinking it? Could I also drink it while pregnant? Thank you for your answer as I really like my strawberry shake after workout!!
Dear Cindy,
Yes you can take whilst trying for a baby and also when you get pregnant, there are no issues with that at all.
Dave
I've lost 15kg in the past 3 months, and am looking to lose another 10. I've just broughth this and the lean degree stack.
I consume about 800-1250 cals per day depending on what gyming i'll be doing etc.
Can I use this to lose weight as a meal replacement, consuming soon after finishing up at the gym? Or would I be better off replacing my lunch meal with this?
Also are the content stats based on a small or large shake? Ie one scoop or two?
Hi james
i would replace lunch with this as it is not suitable for post workout, ideally something like recovery 2;1 would be best for then
Regards Rich
Hi, I just purchased you Diet Whey today, the first product I will have used of this kind. I was wondering how long this keeps for when mixed? ie, could I mix some in the morning to take with me as an afternoon snack or does it need to be taken right away?
Thanks, Martin
Dear Martin,
That will be fine, try and keep in a cool dry place until you drink.
Dave
Phd Diet Whey states contains 1500mg of flaxseed powder. I would like to know how much omega 3 does this equal to as I also supplement with a mix of ground seeds and fish oils?
Dear Sophie,
How do you know it contains 1500mg of flax? The products ingredients are all part of a propiaretary blend so we know they are in there but we dont kno how much is in there. Omega 3 and flaxseed are completely different products however there is omega 3s from the alpha linolenic acid (ALA) in the product. I dont know exaclty how much though.
Dave
I have just brought the PhD (Fat -Loss Range) diet whey yesterday. I have couple of questions listed below.
1. Can I use it as a meal replacement? or did I still have my 3 meals a day?
2. When is the best time to take it?
3. Can I still take it on the days I don't go to the gym?
4. how many times a day should I be taking it?
My main goal is to lose weight.
Thanks Ram
Dear Ram,
1. You dont want to replace meals with it, have your 3-4 meals a day plus 2 shakes
2. It is best taken mid morning and post workout or mid afternoon on non training days
3. Yes still take twice on non training days
Dave
Do you just use the supplement or do u make it part of a balanced food and drink diet.
Hi Grant
Many thanks for your enquiry. You would need to use it as part of a balanced diet.
Kind Regards
Katie
I am on a high protien diet already, eating lots of veg and legumes and fibre but low carb and it is helping shift weight very well...I am a training breakdancer so do three days of 10 mile walks on off days and then 3 nights of 3 hour sessions followed by wieghts. anyway my night sessions are really late so I need something I can have close to bed time...is there any bad points of taking this before I sleep? and will it still help me strip fat, stay lean and be recovered for the next morning if i take it that late? ps...what is the best flavour?
HI Flow
i wouldnt reccomend taknig this before bed if you are trying to lose fat due to the carb content, i would reccomend taking PhD pharma blend 6 hr before bed as this product was designed for that purpose
I prefer the choc orange in diet whey personally but taste is subjective
Regards Rich
Hi there,i just had a baby 2 months ago and I am looking to ease myself back into a training regime. Can you tell me if the Diet Whey is suitable to take whilst breast feeding? Thanks
Hi Amy
Aas far as im aware there is nothing that would affect that, however carbs do absorb upto four times their weight in water so i would reccomend drinking more liquid if you did take this product
Regards Rich
How long does the 1kg last for ??
Hi Heidi there are 20 servings in the 1kg pouch of the Diet Whey. Thank you, Suzie
As i work in a factory it means early starts.i have my breakfast before i leave.we have a break at 10 o'clock so could i have diet whey to keep me going till dinner at 1 o'clock
Hi Lorraine
It sounds like this product would be ideal for you as the slow release proteins help to keep you feel fuller for longer
Regards Rich
Hi guys,
I work out in the gym 6 times a week, half cardio half weights for about 1-2 per session, i eat small and often, take fat burners, count calories and use pharma whey.
I have noticed next to no weight/fat loss, i think i have bad genes i have been doing this for around 5 months and lost 5 lbs. its getting expensive and I'm struggling to feel motivated.
What am i doing wrong? do you think diet whey could work if I'm trying to loose 2st in fat and build muscle?
I will be your pet and try anything!!
Hi Terry
Thanks for your question.
I would reccomend really focusing on cardio and dieting to well below your maintainence calories as this often ensures weight loss. Adding in diet whey as a meal replacment is also an extremely good idea.
Regards Rich
Hi guys, just about to start a weight loss diet i have my diet planned out at 6 meals per day and i was going to use this weight loss whey. The problem is if i go for a run at around half 7 before work i dont want to take it before as i want to run on empty stomach and when i come back i want brekfast so i wouldnt be having protein shake untill around 10am would that be ok or is it leaving it too long after training? cheers
Hi Alex,
You could just have the diet whey after your run (as breakfast).
I would have some fruit with it however.
Regards.
I've been using phd supplements for a few years now as they taste awesome and are of excellent quality. ISO-Synergy has been my staple whey supplement source for some time however I'm on a strict calorie deficit diet to rip up. I'm wanting to try diet whey with 80%water 20%skimmed milk as part of my 1800 calorie a day plan and combine with the diet whey bar too. I plan to only use the whey post workout Nd the bar as a mid morning snack. Breakfast, lunch dinner are proper meals. Will I notice a drop in energy when moving away from the iso-synergy? And which flavour is the. Lowest to chocolate cookie flavour? Thanks
Hi khany,
You should still use synergy.
Take the calories from others aspects, not pre/ post workout nutrition.
Your metabolism will slow down to compensate if you take all those calories away and you will not see significant results.
You will probably experience fatigue and muscle wastage.
Regards LT
Hi. Is the PHD Diet Protein wheat, dairy and gluten free? Also, is the protein itself concentrate/isolate or other?
Hi,
It is not dairy free, it contains whey protein.
Regards, LT
I am looking to lose alot of fat and wish to use this as my breakfast and lunch with a normal dinner and gym 3 times a week with around 40 mins cardio each day. Will I be able to lose fat this way?
Hi Stewart,
That sounds fine. Keep doing what you are doing, add in a little intense cardio here and there when your results start to slow.
Regards LT
Hi there, ive just got back into training after 4 year break.i train 3-4 nights a week doing mainly weights, but also cardio.
I currently take your phd whey protein choc cookies in the morning then before and after workouts, id like to loose weight too. So if i do this if you reccommend it whats best to do with what im using and using this too? Thanks
Hi Dave,
Sounds good to me, I would use a recovery product such as PhD recovery or synergy after the workout to replenish yourself.
and perhaps consider a pre workout to increase your intensity during the workout.
V-max pump or n.o. xplode for example
Regards LT
Hello, I've just purchased this product, would it be possible to mix this with milk? Would this affect my overall goal of fat loss and in what way?
Thanks
Hi Sam
You can use milk althugh water is best (as there are simple sugars in milk).
Regards
I will be using this (phd diet whey.p) as a meal replacement- replacing 2meals an having 1 low-fat/carb meal a day- I would like to lose weight and tone up...I do not wont to bulk or get muscly....I aim to go tithe gym 2/3x a week OR ride my stationary&non-stationary bike 2/3x a week...will this work? How many scoops should I use? Also I'm goin on holiday in 2week so want fast results for now.
Dear Lorrie,
The product wont work in 2 weeks. Its something you need to use over a period of time with a good diet and training regime to get a good physique. I would look at consuming more meals per day, aswel as the shakes. 3-4 solid meals and a shake or 2 would be ideal. To lose weight your diet needs to be good and you need to be doing plenty of cardio. The product choice is ther correct one.
Dave
